About This Magazine PCB Loader & Unloader System
This is a magazine loader and unloader for SMT and AI assembly lines. A full magazine of bare boards goes in at one end and a magazine of finished boards comes off the other, so panels are moved without an operator picking up each one by hand. Four models are covered here - HY-250LD, HY-330LD, HY-390LD and HY-460LD - which differ in the largest board they accept and in the magazine rack they take.
The loader sits at the head of a line and pushes each board out of the magazine on to the conveyor of the machine downstream. The unloader sits at the end of a line: a board arriving on its own conveyor is pushed into the magazine, the magazine then indexes to the next slot, and the unit is ready for the board behind it.

The model follows the board. HY-250LD takes boards up to 350*250mm, HY-330LD up to 455*330mm, HY-390LD up to 530*390mm and HY-460LD up to 530*460mm. All four accept a board as small as 50*50mm and as thin as 0.4mm. The footprint widens with the model as well, from 1100*780*1200mm on HY-250LD to 1600*1120*1200mm on HY-460LD, so the floor space at the line end is worth checking before the model is settled.
Operating Mechanism, Conveyor Direction & Automation Safety
Boards are moved by a pusher rather than by hand. At the loading end the pusher takes a board out of the magazine and sets it on to the downstream conveyor; at the unloading end the pusher takes a board off the incoming conveyor and sets it into the magazine. Transfer direction is selectable, left to right or right to left, so a unit can be put at either end of a line without being rebuilt.
The magazine indexes to the next slot after every board, which is what keeps the cycle running without attention. The safety design is aimed at preventing a board from being broken as it is pushed, and the control set carries automatic counting and a fault alarm, so a full magazine or a transfer fault is signalled at the machine rather than found further down the line. Indexing pitch is selectable, which lets the slot spacing be matched to the board thickness and to the magazine in use.
Supply at the machine is single phase with a maximum consumption of 300VA, and the air line runs at 4-6 bar using up to 10 ltr/min.
