The JUKI RS-2R placement machine is a high-speed, intelligent, modular placement machine. Its operating principle integrates precision mechanics, visual recognition, and automated control technologies. The core process is as follows:
Feeding and Removal
A feeder (such as the RF08AS) pushes components from tape or reel to the removal position, where the placement head uses a vacuum nozzle to pick up the components.
This machine features a dual-side feeding design and can accommodate up to 112 feeders, supporting high-mix, low-volume production.
Vision Positioning and Alignment
Equipped with a laser recognition system ("Jiangtou" technology), a variable-height sensor (adjustable in six positions) captures component shape and position in real time, supporting components ranging from micro 03015 to large 74mm components.
The system utilizes a high-resolution camera and image processing algorithms to dynamically correct component offset angles and coordinate errors, achieving an accuracy of ±15μm.
Multi-Axis Simultaneous Placement
The X/Y/Z axes are driven by servo motors and coupled with a linear scale (0.1μm resolution) for micron-level positioning. The placement head adjusts its trajectory during motion through closed-loop feedback, achieving a placement speed of up to 50,000 cph (placements per hour).
Coplanarity Inspection and Quality Control
Integrated coplanarity detection sensors ensure the flatness of the contact surface between component pins and pads, preventing cold solder joints or misalignment. Dynamic pressure sensors adjust placement force to protect fragile components.
Cyclic Operation and Automation
The control system coordinates the timing of each module, enabling continuous placement until the PCB is complete. This process integrates mechanical transmission precision, optical compensation, and motion optimization algorithms to meet the needs of high-density placement.
Technical Highlights:
Laser recognition technology is unaffected by component gloss or shape, ensuring high stability. The modular design supports rapid changeovers and adapts to diverse production needs.
